Vocational Services Spotlight: Building Skills, Building Futures

Steady employment does more than provide a paycheck. It builds routine, purpose, and financial stability, all of which support long-term wellness. Southeast Healthcare’s Vocational Services program exists to help community members work through the barriers that can stand between them and that kind of stability.

Who the program supports

Vocational Services is designed for people facing emotional or other challenges that make it difficult to find and keep employment. That might include someone managing a mental health condition, someone rebuilding stability after a period of homelessness, or someone who simply needs support developing job readiness skills after time away from the workforce.

What support looks like

The program focuses on practical skills: resume building, interview preparation, workplace communication, and connecting participants with employment opportunities that fit their circumstances. Because Vocational Services operates within Southeast’s broader integrated care model, participants can also access Behavioral Health Services and Primary Care Services alongside their vocational support, rather than juggling separate systems.

Why this work matters for the whole community

When someone finds stable employment, the benefits extend beyond that individual. Families gain stability, local employers gain reliable team members, and communities across Franklin, Delaware, and our other service counties become more resilient.
