Vocational Services

Where Employment is a Vital Part of the Recovery Process

Southeast Vocational Services, formally COVA, is a program of Southeast Healthcare. Southeast Vocational Services provide multiple options to those wishing to explore their employment goals. Southeast views employment as a vital piece of the overall recovery process and we work with our participants to prepare and help them meet their employment needs.

We believe employment is a vital component to recovery. Our Vocational Services program provides services to assist and support members of our community in overcoming emotional and other challenges by focusing on employment, economic stability and life skills.

Our Transitional Employment program or “Project Work” provides temporary employment to individuals with a history of severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders who may have history of finding or maintaining employment. Participants are eligible for up to 1,000 hours of paid employment services within a twelve month period with the ultimate goal of moving from our transitional employment to permanent employment in the community either full or part-time.

Our Career Development program works with our participants by offering job readiness training and job development services. Our goal is to match each individual with an employment situation that best suits their needs. We also assist them in areas such as resume development and interviewing skills training.

Our Rebel program offers evidenced-based supported employment services to participants as part of a comprehensive treatment team approach. We have supported employment staff embedded with ACT teams at Southeast, Delaware, Morrow Counties, North Central and Community Support Network.

Through workplace job skill assessments, vocational goal planning, employment opportunities and more, our vocational providers to aim clients in securing employment for those they serve.
