October is Prevention Month and Southeast Healthcare is committed to promoting the importance of alcohol and drug use prevention, especially among our youth.
One of our prevention specialists, Elena Fisher, MSW, LSW, was interviewed yesterday on Fox 28’s Good Day Marketplace to discuss ADAMH Board of Franklin County-funded, school-based prevention partnerships and youth-led initiatives.
In addition to Southeast providing integrated behavioral and primary health services to eight counties throughout the state of Ohio, we also provide these services directly to the Reynoldsburg City School District.
As stated by Fisher, “Prevention is delaying the early onset use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs as well as promoting mental health and positive decision-making and behavior in youth.”
