As temperatures drop across Ohio, many of our neighbors face the harsh reality of winter without the comfort of warm clothing or reliable shelter. At Southeast Healthcare, we believe that warmth is more than a basic necessity; it’s an act of dignity, safety, and compassion. This season, we’re inviting our community to join us in spreading that warmth through a Blanket Drive organized by Southeast Healthcare and the University District Organization.
Now through December 31, we are coming together to make a difference by collecting and donating new and gently used blankets to share with our unhoused neighbors.
Why Your Donation Matters
For individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, the winter months can be dangerous. A simple blanket can mean the difference between comfort and crisis. Each donation directly supports people right here in our community who rely on Southeast Healthcare’s services for stability, care, and support.
Warm, durable blankets, new or gently used, are one of the most immediate and impactful ways we can support individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Every blanket donated goes directly to someone in our community who needs warmth, comfort, and protection from the cold.

If you want to donate but transportation is a barrier—don’t worry, pickup may be available from your home, business, school, church, or organization! Call 614.937.0221 to see if pickup is available in your area and to schedule.
