Operation HOPE 2024 places emphasis on community resources

COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 30, 2024)—In collaboration with Judah Tabernacle and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office H.O.P.E. Task Force, Southeast Healthcare will join other community providers in Operation HOPE 2024, a partnership that supplies resources and aid to individuals and families struggling with drug dependence, mental health issues, food insecurity, and more.

Heroin Overdose Prevention Education Task Force (HOPE Task Force) and Rapid Response Emergency Addition and Crisis Team (RREACT) join with Southeast Healthcare to host local treatment facilities, mental health providers, faith-based support, sexual health education, harm reduction, food pantries, clothing, anti-human trafficking resources, medical staff, and more will be in attendance.

“We recognize the great need for services and resources such as these in our community,” said Sandy Stephenson, project director of Southeast Healthcare. “Sponsoring and participating in Operation HOPE 2024 allows us to fulfill our mission and reach those in our service areas who truly need assistance. We are proud to be a part of this outstanding event.”

Recognizing the importance of community concerns, local city officials have been invited to attend. Those in attendance will be available to answer questions about the re-zoning process beginning in this area, demonstrating their commitment to transparency and community engagement.

OPERATION HOPE 2024 will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at the Judah Tabernacle, 3176 S. High St. in Columbus.

Other event sponsors include the Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH), the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, and Care Connection of Columbus.
