Meet Apothecare: How Our In-House Pharmacy Simplifies Care

Picking up a new prescription usually means one more stop after an already long appointment. Southeast Healthcare built Apothecare, our in-house pharmacy, to remove that extra step for the patients we serve.

What makes an in-house pharmacy different

When a pharmacy operates inside the same organization as your care team, prescriptions can move directly from a provider’s visit to being filled, without a separate trip across town or a wait at an outside pharmacy that does not have your full medical history on file. This is especially useful for patients managing several medications at once, since our pharmacy team can see the full picture of what has been prescribed across primary care and behavioral health visits.

Who Apothecare serves

Apothecare supports the same patients seen throughout Southeast’s Primary Care Services and Behavioral Health Services programs. That includes patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, patients on long-term psychiatric medications, and anyone who simply wants a more convenient way to manage prescriptions across a busy schedule.

A time-saving option for busy families

For parents juggling a child’s antibiotics, a grandparent’s blood pressure medication, and their own prescriptions, having one pharmacy that already knows the family and its care history can save real time. It also reduces the chance of a prescription slipping through the cracks between appointments.
